Aamir Khan is going to be the next Munna Bhai

According to latest buzz, Aamir Khan will replace Sanjay Dutt in the Munna Bhai franchise. Dutt has been dropped from the third part as he is too old for the film now. Also, Arshad Warsi will be replaced by Sharman Joshi.

The filmmakers were looking for a fresh paring and Aamir-Sharman seemed the perfect choice. "The idea of casting Aamir and Sharman came up during the shoot of 3 Idiots. Hirani felt that a new pair would bring in a fresh breath of air into the film. Aamir and Sharman have amazing comic timing and also great chemistry onscreen. You can see that even in their first film together, Rang De Basanti. When he shared the idea with Aamir, he loved it. He told Rajkumar that he would be game for it if the script was interesting," a source told Mid Day.

Another source confirmed the news: "Though Sanjay played Munna Bhai to perfection, having Aamir on board will take the franchise to the next level. He is not only a fine actor, but also a much bigger brand name, and a marketing genius,"

Dutt is not happy with this development. "A few months ago, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani had a closed door meeting with Sanju, where they told him that they would not be going ahead with him in the Munna Bhai sequel. This definitely upset Sanju," a source close to the franchise informed the tabloid.

Will Aamir be able to create the same magic as original Munna Bhai? Wait and watch.

Gaurang Doshi Aankhen Producer

Here is a photo of Gaurang Doshi, the producer of Aankhen. A magiistrate court on Tuesday convicted film producer Gaurang Doshi for dowry harassment and sentenced him to three years rigorous imprisonment. Doshi’s estranged wife Madhuri had accused him and his parents of torturing her physically and mentally when she resisted dowry demands.

The court also sentenced Doshi to one year RI for voluntarily causing hurt and to three years RI for cruelty and criminal breach of trust. All the sentences would run concurrently. Doshi was also ordered to pay Madhuri Rs10,000 as compensation.

The court acquitted Doshi’s mother Madhukanta who was charged with voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means, cruelty and criminal breach of trust.

The court issued a warrant against Doshi who failed to show up for the judgment. Doshi had locked himself up in his apartment for days together to evade arrest in September last year and had been missing hearings even after he submitted an undertaking saying he would appear regularly.

Vidhu Vinod Chopra announced his next film after the release of 3 Idiots.

However, he has been unable to complete the film as yet. According to an industry source, Ekta Kapoor is the reason behind the delay of Ferrari Ki Sawari.

It is believed that Ekta's recently released Marathi film Taryanche Bait has a similar storyline. TB was a father-son story in which Sachin Khedekar's character promises his son to take him to a five star hotel in Mumbai and how he struggles to fulfill his promise. In FKS, Sharman promises his son a Ferrari ride.

Now when TB is released and has received a decent response, Chopra doesn't want a good subject to go waste or call it a remake of a regional film due to the similar storyline. Therefore, he is making some changes in the script due to which the film will take some more time to start.

FKS was supposed to start early this year and slated to release in December. It will be directed by Rajesh Mapuskar who assisted Rajkumar Hirani during Lage Raho Munnabhai and 3 Idiots. The film stars Sharman Joshi and Deepika Padukone in main leads.
